Stuff the Bus was a GREAT SUCCESS!!

Cheboygan County United Way & Calcite Credit Union teamed up for a very successful year! We collected supplies valued at $600.00 and $1,416.54 in monetary donations! Supplies were delivered to all the schools in Cheboygan County. Funds are still available and teachers can submit a request for supplies throughout the school year. Volunteers from the Kiwanis Aktion Club along with community members helped sort all the supplies. Many Thanks to all who made this year so successful!!

Along with our Partners at Calcite Credit Union our goal is to make sure children in our community have the school supplies they need to start the new school year. The supplies collected will be distributed to schools throughout Cheboygan County

Project Connect 2014

project connectProject Connect was a Great Success! 231 residents from Cheboygan County attended this Day of Service. They were able to make contact with 37 vendors offering human services, from blood sugar testing, energy kits, vision & hearing tests to hair cuts, and much more, under one roof! In addition a free hot lunch and food give away were offered. Project Connect is sponsored by the Cheboygan Housing and Homeless Coalition, Human Services Coordinating Body and The Cheboygan County United Way. What’s Raised Here, Stays Here!

When you give to the Cheboygan County United Way, you are giving to your community!  In other words, what’s raised here, stays here–with 99% of the funds raised staying in the area to address local problems.  The Cheboygan County United Way is dedicated to LIVING UNITED in our community, and has done so for over 40 years.  This year, the Cheboygan County United Way invested almost $70,000 in our community, focusing on five impact areas including: Helping Youth Succeed, Increasing Independence & Self Sufficiency, Promoting Health & Wellness, Improving Financial Stability, and Meeting Urgent & Basic Human Needs.
